Pengaruh metode Brainstorming, Buzz Group, and Simulation (BBS) terhadap penurunan tindakan merokok pada remaja berbasis teori Health Promotion Model

Abstract

Perilaku merokok pada remaja didasari atas ketidaktahuan yang menyebabkan sikap dan tindakan remaja cenderung mengarah negatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh metode Brainstorming, Buzz Group, and Simulation (BBS) terhadap penurunan tindakan merokok pada remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasy experiment. Teknik sampling menggunakan simple random sampling. Besar sampel penelitian adalah 40 responden, pelaksanaan dilakukan dalam 4 sesi selama 1 bulan, dengan durasi waktu 100 menit/sesi. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah metode BBS dan variabel dependennya adalah tindakan merokok. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner serta lembar monitor tindakan merokok. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji McNemar dan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil uji McNemar terdapat perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan intervensi pada tindakan (p=0.002). Hasil uji Mann Whitney menunjukkan adanya pengaruh metode BBS terhadap tindakan merokok (p=0.005). Intervensi metode BBS dapat menurunkan tindakan merokok. Oleh karena itu metode BBS bisa menjadi alternatif pilihan dalam upaya promotif dan preventif untuk mengatasi remaja merokok.
