RELATION NURSE’S KNOWLEDGE WITH NURSE’S CARING BEHAVIOR IN STAYING INSTALLATION ROOM IN JOMBANG HOSPITAL

Abstract

Knowledge is form of result know and it is happened after people organize to a spesific obyek. Caringbehavior is form a part of the most importance in nurse’s practice that is aspect of relationship betweennurse and client in giving direction to the nurse inter-alia by means of listening with fully attantion,nurse’s presence when he is needed, cultivate belief relation each other, responsible, affection, care,giving information, giving touch, giving support, and show attitude that is deserved to the client. But itcould be said the performing of caring behavior nowdays is still adversel. Purpose of this research is toknow nurse’s knowledge relationship with caring behavior in staying installation room in Jombanghospital. Research design that is used is analytic correlation with cross sectional phenomenological.Population is amount to 132 nurses that work in staying installation room in Jombang hospital. Taken bytechnic proportionate simple random sampling with the result that is got research sample the number of99 nurses. To take data independence variable is nurses knowledge and dependence variable that isnurses caring behavior use instrument form kuesioner. Whereas analytic technic the data is used bystatistic experiment called Mann-Whitney. The result of research indicate 60,6% nurses’ knowledge isgood, 33,3% is enough, and 6,1% nurses’ knowledge is less. Whereas 56,6% nurses’ caring is positiveand 43,4% nurses caring behavior is negative. Mann-Whitney test from both variable is got precentage P= 0,028. There is relationship between nurses’ knowledge and nurses caring behavior in stayinginstallation room in Jombang hospital in 2013.Keyword : knowledge, behavior, caring.
