RELATIONS OF MOTIVATION TO NURSE WITH LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT FOR FOURTH SEMESTER STUDENT STUDY S1 NURSING PROGRAM IN STIKES ICME JOMBANG

Abstract

Learning achievement of students today tend to be much decreased. Based on the results of preliminary studiesachievement Nursing Student S1, note that the value of the grade (IP) below 3.00 at the fifth semester are78.8%. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between motivations to be a nurse with student achievement.Research design in this study is non-experimental use analytic cross sectional design and retrospective datacollection techniques. The population in this study were all four semester students of Nursing Degree programSTIKES ICME Jombang totaling 119 people, samples in this study partially four semester students of NursingDegree program STIKES ICME Jombang as many as 92 people, with a proportional sampling techniques usingsimple random sampling. In this study use two variables, consisting of the independent variable (motivation to bea nurse) and the dependent variable (academic achievement). Collecting data using a closed questionnaire with aLikert scale and capture value KHS III semester retrospectively. And data were analyzed using Spearman rank.The results showed the majority of students have a negative motivation and achievement satisfactory. Spearmanrank test results obtained results imply ρρ = 0.031 > 0.05. This suggests here is a relationship means that H1 isaccepted to be a nurse with achievement motivation to learn. There is a relationship between motivation to be anurse with student achievement fourth semester Nursing Program S1 STIKES ICME Jombang. Educationalinstitutions are expected to take the level of motivation and improve learning achievement of students.Keywords: Motivation, Achievement Learning
