HUBUNGAN PEMENUHAN KEBUTUHAN PERSONAL HYGIENE DENGAN rnSTATUS KESEHATAN LANSIA DI UPT PANTI SOSIAL LANJUT USIA rnKABUPATEN JOMBANG PADA TAHUN 2014

Indonesia is a country that entered the era of elderly structured population (aging structured rnpopulation). The increasing number of elderly will cause problems especially in terms of health rnand prosperous of elderly. To maintain and improve the health of elderly, personal hygiene is one rnof basic factors because individuals with good personal hygiene will have low risk of diseases. This rnresearch was conducted in UPT PSLU of Jombang regency. rnThe purposes of this research was to determine relationship in meeting the needs of personal rnhygiene with elderly health status. rnThis research was correlation research by cross sectional approach with total population as rnmany as 71 elderly with sample of 41 people who was obtained by total sampling technique. rnIndependent variables in this research was personal hygiene and the dependents variables was rnhealth status. The measurement used in this research was a questionnaire and interview sheet. rnData was processed by stage of editing, coding, processing, clearing. Then it was tested by rnspearman’s rho correlation.rnBased on the result p / rho 0,024 ; r = 0,352 where value p less than 0,05 so H1 accepted. rnBased on the result can be said that there was a low and significant relationship between rnfulfillment the needs of with elderly health status.rnKeywords : Meeting the needs of personal hygiene, health status
