The providing child needs foster care,compasssion,and sharpening will make them become rnmature resource potential.Conversely,the wrong treatment given to children will hamper rndevelopment of the child.The attitude of the parents toward the child affects the child’s rnbehavior,because the attitude of the parents role in child development.This study aims to rndetermine the correlation of parenting parents with self concept adolescent in the Village rnMancar District of Peterongan Jombang.rnThis study is an analytic correlation with cross-sectional design, the population of rnadolescents aged 11-14 years in the village Mancar RW 1-3 Distric Peterongan Jombang rnas many as 224 people.The sample of 56 respondents,sampling using simple random rnsampling.Data were collected using a quistionnare,and analyzed using Chi square.rnThe results a pattern of authoritarian parenting by 29 people (51.8%), permissive rnparenting were 17 (40.4%),democratic parenting 10 people (17.9%). Self-concept rnadolescent as much as 29 people (51,8%) negative,self-concept adolescent as many as 27 rnpeople (48,2%)positive.Chi square test result obtained by Chi -square coefficient values rnobtained for 14,070 > 1,386 with 2 df ((K-1) (N-1)),with ρ values of 0.001 < 0.05, then H1 rnis accepted.rnThere parenting parent relationship with self-concept adolescents aged 11-14 years in the rnvillage District of Peterongan emanating Jombang.Parents in order to provide the care in rnadolescent with adolescent development to be adjusted,so that adolescent have hight hightrnconfidence,to resolve the matter at hand,be independent and have a hight discipline.rnKeyword : Parental Parenting,Self Concept,Adolescent.
