The high stigma and discrimination by society towards people with HIV-AIDS (PLWHA) resulted rnin people giving distance, fear, and even less amenable to PLHIV. The number of people living rnwith HIV continues to increase until the year 2013 reached 286 people, and preliminary studies rnindicate there are 6 people living with HIV in Hamlet Pandan Wangi. The purpose of this study to rnknow relationship public knowledge about HIV AIDS with stigma on PLWHA (People Living with rnHIV AIDS) in the Hamlet of Pandan Wangi, Pandan wangi village, District Diwek, Jombang.rnAnalytical design of this study is the cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were rn691 families in hamlet of Pandan wangi, Pandan wangi village, District Diwek, Jombang with a rntotal sample of 69 that uses sampling techniques Proportional Simple Random Sampling. and in rndoing on 26 - 29 May, 2014. Independent variables in this study Public Knowledge about HIV rnAIDS while the Dependent Variable is the PLHIV Stigma. Instrument in the form of questionnaires. rnAnalysis of data through editing, coding, scoring, tabulating the Spearman Rank's test.. The results rnof the research relationship public knowledge about HIV AIDS with stigma on people living with rnHIV, the stigma of having a good knowledge of the low number of respondents (10.1%), knowledge rnof Self with the stigma of being a total of 27 respondents (39.1%) and lack of knowledge with high rnstigma number 10 respondents (14.5%).
