Quality character needs to be formed and nurtured from an early age, parents are the primary role in determining the future of his son. The failure of the planting characters due to lack of the role of parents in the quest of a character from an early age will form a troubled future personal adult life in the future. The purpose of this research is to know the relation the role of parents in the quest of the characters with the characters children aged 4-6 years. The research design used was the analytic of cross sectional population taken from parents who have children ages 4-6 years with a total of 48 parents with the Total sampling Sampling. The variables examined is the role of parents in the quest of characters with character children aged 4-6 years. Data collection using the questionnaire then data processed through stages of editing, coding, scoring, tabulating and presented in the form of the table is then analyzed by using Spearman Rank test. Research results by way of administering a questionnaire on the respondents about the role of parents in the quest of characters with character of children aged 4-6 years in kindergarten Muchtarussalam Karangmulyo Banyuwangi. The role of parents shows that nearly all parents are instrumental in the formation of numerous characters attempt 41 (85%) parents and children suggests that the character was almost entirely a child character enough that a number of 44 children (92 percent). Spearman Rank test based on the retrieved value Pvalue (0,037) and α significance level (0.05), so α so that H1 Pvalue < accepted. Conclusion of this research is the role of the parents association in an effort the formation of characters with characters of children aged 4-6 years in the Karangmulyo Village kindergarten Muchtarussalam, Tegalsari, Banyuwangi District.rnrnKeywords: Role of parents, formation of the character children aged 4-6 yearsrn
