Indonesia is one country in the world that is experiencing an increase in contraceptive IUD rndiscontinuation. This is due to several factors, among which, the negative perception of the husband rnon the wife who use the IUD. Based on preliminary studies in the region of Jelakombo health rncenters in 5 couples IUD acceptors obtained 1 pair in positive perception while 4 pairs negative rnperception. The purpose of the study was to determine the perceptions of husbands agai nst wives rnwho use the IUD in the District Regional Occupational Health Center Jelakombo Jombang. rnThe study design was descriptive. The entire population of the IUD acceptors husband some 142 rnpeople. Sampling number 43 in Simple random sampling. The variable is the perception of the rnhusband on the wife who use the IUD. Collecting data using a questionnaire. Data processing with rnthe editing, coding, scoring, tabulating. rnBased on the results of research on the perception of the husband on the wife that the husband rnobtained using the IUD that has positive perceptions of a total of 18 respondents (41.9%) and the rnnegative perception many as 25 respondents (58.1%). rnThe conclusion of this research is the perception of the husband on the wife who use the IUD is rnnegative in the District Regional Occupational Health Center Jelakombo Jombang. Suggested for rnmidwife should further enhance its role in providing counseling on family planning varied IUD rninvolving current husband drove his wife to the clinic or other heal thcare facility. rnKeywords: Perception husband, IUD
