Maternal death in Indonesia in 2012 was still high that was 359 per 100 thousands live born. Maternal death majority occurred during labor. One of factors was husband late in taking decision. Based on the preliminary study on February 2014 At Independent Practice Midwife Sri Hardi Rahayu Amd.Keb Carang Rejo Village Kesamben District Jombang Regency consisted 10 labor mothers where 6 of them were not accompanied their husband, and 4 of them were accompanied their husband and get full support from their husband in labor place choice. The purpose of this study was to know husband’s participation in labor place choice. The study design used was descriptive. Population was all husbands of pregnant mother trimester II and III as many as 23 people. Sample used was total sampling. Instrument of the study used questionnaire. Data processing used Editing, Coding, Scoring, Tabulating, and Data analysis. Variable of the study was husband’s participation in labor place choice. The study result can be obtained that husband’s participation in labor place choice was majority negative that was 13 people (57%) and 10 people (43%) were positive. Based on the study result can be concluded that husband’s participation in labor place choice was negative. Midwives were suggested to give counseling to husband about husband’s participation to labor place choice, especially giving knowledge about trouble in labor.rnKeywords : Husband’s participation, Labor place choicern
