One cause of mortality in newborns is Jaundice is a yellow color that appears on the skin and mucosa due to increased bilirubin. Based on a preliminary study conducted in BPM Lilis Menganto Village District of Mojowarno in 5 pregnant women pregnant women only one who has made the prevention of jaundice in the form of regular ante natal care, of nutrition and breast care in preparation for early lactation, and 4 other mothers just do a regular ante natal care without doing the other efforts to prevent jaundice. The purpose of this study to determine the motivation of pregnant women in the prevention of jaundice in newborns in BPM Lilian Village Menganto Jombang District of Mojowarno.rnDesign research is a descriptive study. The population of all pregnant women in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters BPM Lilis Menganto Village District of Mojowarno by 26 respondents. Total sampling sampling. Sempel of all pregnant women in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters BPM Lilis Menganto Village District of Mojowarno by 26 respondents. The variable in this study is the motivation of pregnant women in the prevention of jaundice in newborns. Collecting data using a questionnaire. data processing with the editing, coding, scoring, tabulating.rnBased on the results of research on the motivation of pregnant women in the prevention of jaundice in newborns of 26 respondents found that pregnant women have a strong motivation (42%), moderate motivation (58%) and no pregnant women who have a weak motivation.rnThe conclusion of this research is the majority of respondents were motivated.rnKeywords: Motivation pregnant women, Prevention of jaundice.
