Early initiation of breastfeeding is the nipple search behavior of mother shortly after birth, the first hour is expected to be able to brestfeed their own babies and managed to find the mother. Phenomenon that exists today is the lack of management of early initiation of breastfeeding caused one support from family, especially the husband earned less mothers to early initiation of breastfeeding. This is the beginning of the relationship between infant breastfeeding and mother. Purpose of this study identify husband’s role in preparation of early breastfeeding initiation at pregnant women.rnThe study design is descriptive. Population is throughout the husband whose wife pregnant in Village Karanglo, Mojowarno Subdistrict, Jombang Regency as many as 33 respondents. Sampling technique used is Total Sampling. Variable used is miodwives’ in implementation of early initiation of breastfeeding . Instrumen used in collecting data is questionnaires, then data processing is done by editing, coding, scoring, and tabulating.rnThe study result of husband’s role in preparation of early initiation of breastfeeding among pregnant women do not participate actively a role that is active as many as 4 respondents (12,12%), less active role as many as 9 respondents (27,27%) and no active role as many as 20 respondents (60,61%).rnIt can be concluded that the husband’s role in the preparation of early initiation of breastfeeding among pregnant women in Village Karanglo, Mojowarno Subdistrict, Jombang Regency largely inactive role.rnrnKeywords : Husband’s Role, Early initiation of breastfeeding, Pregnant Womenrn
