The number of mothers who are not exclusively breastfeed their babies resulting from several factors, such as knowledge, environment, mother, information, economic, and employment. Based on preliminary studies in Poskesdes Pakel. In 10 mothers with infants 0 – 6 months of age, there are 3 mothers exclusively breastfeed her baby and there are 7 mothers who did not breastfeed her baby exclusively. This study aims to determine the factors causing low exclusive breastfeeding in infants aged 0 – 6 months.rnThe study design used is deskriptive. Population are all mothers with infants age 0 – 6 months in Poskesdes Pakel Bareng regency Jombang district with a total sample of 50 people. Engineering recruitment methods purposive sample with sampling. Collecting data using the distribution of questionnaires and then do the editing, coding, scoring, and tabulating.rnThe result showed the majority of respondents 37 people (74%) 20 – 35 years old, most respondents 30 people (60%) Junior High School education, most respondents 37 people (74%) as housewives, whole respondents 50 people (100%) never get the information, most respondents 35 people (70%) get resources from health workers. The factors that cause low exclusive breastfeeding in infants aged 0 – 6 months is the knowledge factors by 26 people (52%).rnConclusions of this study are the factors that cause low exclusive breastfeeding in infants aged 0 – 6 months in the Poskesdes Pakel Bareng regency Jombang district most of the knowledge is a factor.rnrnKeywords : exclusive breastfeeding, factors
