PERCEPTION OF POSTPARTUM MOTHER IN DOING TREATMENT TO PERINEUM INJURY (Study in Bandung Village Sub-district Diwek District Jombang).

Puerperal time (postpartum) continues for 6 weeks, start after placenta is born and ends when uterus equipment is back just like before pregnant. Puerperal time is time that very risk to get infection that is due influx bacteria to genital area at childbirth and puerperal. One of the routes they get in through the injury of childbirth mark because after childbirth there is often the rip of perineum because of the head of fetus that born is too fast. Based on the study before that done by researcher at 22 march 2014 with interview method to 10 puerperal mothers in Bandung Village Sub-district Diwek District Jombang gained 4 puerperal mothers have positive perception in doing treatment to perineum injury, but 6 puerperal mothers have negative perception in doing treatment to perineum injury. This research purpose is to know the perception of puerperal mother in doing treatment to perineum injury in Bandung Village Sub-district Diwek District Jombang.rnType of this research is descriptive, the research method that used is survey, all population of puerperal mother in Bandung Village Sub-district Diwek District Jombang as many as 94 persons. Sample in this research is mother in time of puerperal 1 – 42 days that have inury perineum in Bandung Village Sub-district Diwek District Jombang at 8 – 22 june 2014, variable in this research is perception puerperal mother in doing treatment to perineum injury. Technique of sampling that used is Consecutive Sampling. Gaining data uses questionnaire, then data is organized, editing, coding, scoring, and tabulating. rnThe result of research can be got that Perception of Puerperal Mother in Doing Treatment To Perineum Injury in Bandung Village Sub-district Diwek District Jombang is positive perception as many as 7 respondents (41,18%) and negative perception as many as 17 respondents (58,82%).rnConclusion of this perception is puerperal mother in doing treatment to perineum injury in Bandung Village Sub-district Diwek District Jombang.rnKey Words : Perception, Puerperal Mother, Perineum Injuryrn
