The results of a preliminary study, conducted on May 21 and June 17, 2014 at the health center Sumobito and Japanan Jombang survey results obtained at the health center on 3 Midwives Japanan found that agree to Early initiation counseling during pregnancy by 1 person, while not agree there 2 reason was less effective time. At the health center at 3 Midwife Sumobito found 1 person who agrees Early initiation counseling to pregnant women and 2 people do not agree alasanya less effective time. This study aims to determine the attitude of Midwives How about Early initiation counseling in pregnant women in health centers Sumobito and Japanan Jombang.rnThis study used a descriptive design with a population of 24 people. The sampling technique is the total sampling. The variables of this study is the midwife's attitude about Early initiation counseling in pregnant women. The instrument used was a questionnaire.rnData processing and analysis techniques using editing, coding, scoring and tabulating.The Result of the research use frekuetion ditribution.rnThe results of the research midwife attitudes about Early initiation counseling in pregnant women as much as 24 respondents being negative number of 13 respondents (54.17%) and the positive attitude of 11 respondents (45.83%).rnConclusion The results of the research midwife on Early initiation counseling in pregnant women in health centers Sumobito and Japanan Jombang is largely negative.rnIt is expected that the Chief Medical Officer to provide midwife rules to follow Seminar / Training Lactation every year in Jombang.rnKeywords: Attitude, Midwives, Counseling, Early Initiation of Breastfeeding, Pregnant Women
