Low weight of newborn baby is newborn baby which have weight less than 2500 grams. BBLR could be influenced by nutrition supply disturbance from the mother to the baby. The other factors are pregnancy infection, smoking, hypertension, and mother’s bad or less nutrient. The objective of this research is to know what factors are influencing low weight of newborn baby.rnThe method used in this research is descriptive with population of 18 babies born with weight less than 2500 grams. The samples are 18 respondents, chosen through consecutive sampling. Data collected by using questionnaire toward respondent’s mothers and observing medical records and KIA books.rnThe result showed that the factor of low weight of newborn baby are mother’s age when pregnant, which almost a half (33,33%) babies were born by 20-35 years old mother, almost all (88,89%) born with pregnancy and parturition space more than 2 years, almost a half (27,78%) born by mother with low burden work, almost all (94,44%) born by mother with good nutrient, almost all (94,44%) born by mother who never had antepartum bleeding, a few (5,56%) born by mother who had hidramnion while pregnant, a few (11,11%) born by mother who had heart attack, a few (22,22%) born by mother who had hypertension before pregnant, all (100%) born by mother who never had pregnancy infection, a few (5,56%) born by mother who had anomaly uterus, almost all (94,44%) did not have congenital deformity when in mother’s uterus, a few (5,58%) are twins, and almost a half (38,89%) born by mother who had early broken fetal membrane.rnFrom the research result showed that mother’s work burden, mother’s age when pregnant, and early broken fetal membrane factors which have highest percentage.rnrnKeywords: Factors, Influence, Newborn baby with low weightrn
