Number of puerperal women who consumed vitamin A capsules in Indonesia is still low at 51.65% of the target of 90% coverage. Based on preliminary studies in an interview in Puskesmas Jabon, of 5 respondents midwife, the midwife said to give 3 capsules of vitamin A on maternal puerperal 2 times, 1 midwife said to give a capsule of vitamin A on maternal puerperal 1 time as midwife lazy to take a capsule of vitamin A in health centers , 1 midwife said not to give vitamin A supplements for women. The purpose of this study was to identify the role of the midwife in the vitamin A supplementation on maternal childbirth at Puskesmas Jabon District of Jombang Regency Jombang.rnIn this study the authors used descriptive research methods. The population of all midwives in the District Puskesmas Jabon Jombang Regency Jombang by 15 midwives. Total sampling technique. The variables of this study the role of midwives in the provision of vitamin A supplements for women. Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire. While the data processing is done with editing, scoring, coding, tabulating and analyzing data using descriptive.rnThe results showed the role of the midwife in the delivery of vitamin A on maternal capsules childbirth that most respondents active part number 8 respondents (53.33%), less active number of 4 respondents (26.67%), and 3 inactive number of respondents (20.00%).rnIt was concluded that the role of midwives in the provision of vitamin A supplements for post partum mothers in the work area Jabon subdistrict health center Jombang Regency Jombang most active role.rnKeywords: Mother Postpartum, Vitamin A, Midwives, Role
