Elderly behavior in meeting of rest needs is still far from expectation, such as at present many ofrnelderly do not know about needs his rest and and many of elderly are often consuming food orrndrink that contains caffeine and alcohol. The purpose of this research was to identify the behaviorrnof elderly in meeting his bed rest need in village of Spanyul district of Gudo Jombang regency.rnThe research design used was descriptive reseach. This research was conducted on May until Junern2014. The research was conducted in the village of spanyul district of gudo Jombang regency.rnVariable observed was the behavior. The Population of this research was all elderly who lived inrnthe village of spanyul district of gudo Jombang regency a number of 120 people. In this research,rnits sample was partially of elderly who lived in village of spanyul district of gudo Jombangrnregency a number of 30 people. Sampling in this research used Simple Random Samplingrntechnique. Instruments used in this research was a questionnaire. Data Processing was done usingrnEditing, Scoring, Coding, and tabulating.rnThe result obtained from the research which condected in the village of spanyul district of gudornJombang regency were as many as 18 respondents (60%) had negative behavior and were 12rnrespondents (40%) behave positive in meeting the bed rest needs.rnBased on the research which conducted in the village of spanyul district of gudo Jombang regencyrnon June 2014 can be concluded that’s the behavior of motly elderly in meeting the bed rest needrnwas negative. Its suggestions is for respondents increase knowlegde more about bed rest needs in arnday and decrease foods and drinks which contains of cafein and alcohol.rnKeywords : Behavior, Elderly, Bed rest
