ABSTRACTrnSeveral pregnant women note that pregnant women experiencing high anxiety caused by physical andrnpsychological factors so that the necessary support and motivation of a husband. Expectation of thernhusband's own attitude should be active in preparation for labor but the fact that the husband attitudernplay an active role in the preparation of very little labor. Based on preliminary studies in BPM Ny. UmmrnSalama Peterongan Jombang husband in an interview on the 20th it was found that 12 husbands are lessrnactive in preparing for childbirth and 8 husband was active in preparing for childbirth. The purpose ofrnthe study is to identify the attitude of the husband in preparation for labor in BPM Ny. Umm SalamarnPeterongan Jombang.rnThis research is descriptive. Population is taken from the husband who checked in the BPM Ny wife'srnpregnancy. Umm Salama Peterongan Jombang on 2-15 June 2014 In this study using a consecutivernsampling, instrument used in this study was a questionnaire, with data processing techniques of editing,rncoding, scoring and tabulating. The variable in this study is the attitude of the husband in preparation forrnlabor.rnThe results showed that the attitude of the husband in preparation for labor in BPM Ny. Umm SalamarnPeterongan Jombang is a negative attitude that 12 respondents (60%), while a positive attitude that is 8rnrespondents (40%). Conclusion The study of the attitudes of the husband in preparation for labor inrnBPM Ny. Umm Salama Peterongan Jombang largely negative attitude.rnIt is expected that health professionals give to the husband about preparations IEC labor so husband canrnsupport his wife to prepare for childbirth well.rnKeywords: Attitude, husband, labor.
