Pityriasis capitis is a problem experienced by many people, ranging from children to the elderly rncan suffer from Pityriasis capitis. One of Pityriasis capitis is cause growth of fungus in a dirty rnscalp due to perspiration, sebum glands, and the growth of microorganisms is excessive.rnThe design of this research is descriptive, with a student population of Diploma level III Health rnAnalyst III STIKes ICMe Jombang stubs as much as 43 students.The sampling technique used is rnthe Total Sampling.Identification of the fungus is carried out by means of microscopic examination.rnEngineering data collection done by giving questionnaires to respondents, after the data are rncollected then data processing is done through the editing phase coding tabulating.rnThe results of this research indicate 69,8% with 30 respondents there was fungus Malassezia sp. rnand 30.2% by 13 respondents there was no fungus Malassezia sp. those results showed that college rnstudents Diploma level III Health Analyst III STIKes ICMe Jombang infected fungus Malassezia sp.rnKeywords: Identification of fungus, Pityriasis capitis
