Shrimp Paste is food flavoring made of fermentation result of various shrimp or marine fish that treated withrnothers seasoning, its form is solid with rough texture colored purplish brown. Using of Rhodamin B to shrimprnpaste by some producers have a purpose to get profit and produce shrimp paste with more interesting colour.rnThis research has a purpose to know that there is Rhodamin B to shrimp paste sold in Legi Market Jombang.rnResearch design is descriptive. Samples are taken from Legi Market Jombang with Population a number of 10rnshrimp paste with different brand, samples use Total Sampling Technique. Variable in this research isrnqualitative test of Rhodamin B to shrimp paste, Research instrument uses data management by editing, coding,rntabulating. Based on research result known that 3 (30,00%) shrimp paste are positive containing Rhodamin Brnand 7 (70,00%) are negative containing Rhodamin B. Based on qualitative checking, Rhodamin B contained inrnshrimp paste sold in Legi Market Jombang can be conclused that less of shrimp paste sold are positive containedrnRhodamin B.rnIn order that it is necessary to work together with POM organization to monitor, control and evaluaternperiodically to know using of dye to food, also do checking up urgently in Jombang Markets, so that can be donernpreventive actionrnKeywords : Rhodamin B, Shrimp Paste
