Underweight toddler is a serious problem. Sometime, many of mother ignore importance rnof give the balance nutrition to toddler. This condition shows that the behavior mother is rnwrong. The purpose of this research is to know th effect of counseling about nutrition to rnMother’s behavior to toddler. Kind of the research is pra eksperiment. Research design rnof this research is one group preandpost test design, and the sample usedTotal rnSamplingtechnique by taken the population of all mother that have BGM toddlers in rnMadiopuro Village, Sumobito District, Jombang Regency that consists of 24 respondents. rnThis research began on May 25rnthrn2014 until May 31rnthrn2014.The variables studied werethe rneffect ofcounselingonmaternalnutrition onbehaviorin providingbalanced nutritionin rntoddler. Data collection uses questionnaire then the to analyze the data, uses editing, rncoding, scoring, tabulating andwilcoxon.The result of the research shows that 15 rnrespondents (62.5 %) or most of the respondent have the negative behavior to give rnbalance nutrition to toddlers and the result happen when before counseling. While most rnof the respondent consist 14 respondent (58.3 %) have positive behavior to give balance rnnutirtion to toddlers and the relut happen after do counseling. The result of the research rnuses Wilcoxonstatisticaltest with the 5% margin of error or α = 0.025 whereas p = 0.025 rnthen accept H1 (0.025 < 0.05) it is mean has the effect of counseling about the nutrition rnto mothers behavior in providingbalanced nutritionin toddlers. Based on the analyze and rnresult of the research it can be concluded that th ere is effect of counseling about the rnnutrition to mother’s behavior to giving balanced nutrition for toddlersin Madiopuro rnVillage, Sumobito District, Jombang Regency.rnKeyword: counseling, behavior, toddler nutrition
